160g Evergreen Foods Hard Tofu, cut into cubes
Corn flour (for coating)
Korean chili powder (for coating)
Oil (for frying)
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp minced garlic
1 tsp minced ginger
2 tbsp gochujang
1 tbsp honey
3 tbsp soy sauce
2 tsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp ketchup
Step 1
Press the tofu to remove excess moisture, then cut it into small cubes.
Step 2
In a shallow dish, combine corn flour and Korean chili powder. Coat each tofu cube evenly with the mixture.
Step 3
Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully fry the tofu cubes for 3-4 minutes, or until they are golden and crispy on all sides. Remove from the pan and set aside.
Step 4
In the same pan, add the sesame oil, minced garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Step 5
Add the gochujang, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, and ketchup to the pan. Stir well to combine and cook for 2-3 minutes, until the sauce thickens slightly.
Step 6
Add the fried tofu cubes to the sauce and toss to coat evenly, ensuring all the tofu is coated with the sauce. Serve immediately and enjoy!
