120g Evergreen’s Hard Tofu
1 tbsp maple syrup
Spring onion, sesame seeds to taste
2 tbsp vegetable oil
FOR THE SAUCE
3 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp chilli oil
1 tbsp garlic powder
Step 1
Place tofu steak in between chopsticks, start cutting diagonally but don’t go all the way through. Repeat and make diagonal slits the opposite direction to create a crosshatch pattern.
Step 2
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat, pan fry tofu steak until golden brown on both sides (flip over carefully).
Step 3
Add the sauce mixture and reduce to low heat, spoon the sauce over the tofu steak and let the sauce simmer. At the same time, cook the noodles.
Step 4
Add maple syrup, cook until sauce becomes thickened.
Step 5
Sprinkle sesame seeds on top and plate with a coriander leaf before serving, enjoy with noodles!
