200g Evergreen’s Hard Tofu
1 tbsp cornflour
1 onion sliced
100g spring onions sliced (keep some for garnish)
3 cloves of garlic chopped
1 red chilli sliced
50ml vegan stock
3 tbsp Soy sauce
2 tbsp Sesame oil
1 tbsp Soft brown sugar
1 tbsp sesame seeds
Step 1
Tear the tofu into small pieces. Pop it into a bowl then add the cornflour and stir to coat.
Step 2
Heat some cooking oil in a pan. Cook the tofu over medium heat until it’s golden brown.
Step 3
Add the sliced onion and stir fry for one minute. Then add in the spring onion, garlic, and chilli then stir fry for 30 seconds more.
Step 4
Pour in the vegan stock, soy sauce, and sesame oil, and add the brown sugar. Cook until the sauce becomes sticky.
Step 5
Serve it with rice, and top it with spring onions and sesame seeds. Enjoy!
